Missing Hiker on AT in VA

I know this is farther south than most of you, but if you have any friends down that way, pass it on. The missing hiker is Ken Knight from MI who works with Backpacking Light. All the details are on BPL at the link below.

I am acquainted with Ken Knight and have hiked with him on a few occasions. Despite his impaired vision, Ken is a competent, very experienced trekker, and is fiercely independent. His disappearance is very worrisome.

I don't know this guy, but my hat's off to all who participated in his search. It sounds like it was a pretty big effort with a happy ending. Now the big question is where was he for the past six days? I bet he's got a good story to tell and one worth hearing for anyone who goes out into the wild.
