I find myself in Portland from time to time (one of my best friends live there). I'd probably be interested in meeting up sometime.

I think mid-week would be better than friday. I'd say the earlier in the week, the better.

I would vote for Great Lost Bear. RiRa is a good choice. Another one is Rivalries - plenty of space (unless there's a big game on).

Not from Portland, but have heard of MOAC, had an ex-girlfriend that joined but think she only went on one kayaking trip. I thought about joining, but never did.

Beer night in Portland sounds great! Nov. 10 is a definite possibility for us out-of-towners who don't have to get up early in the AM for work the next day (Veteran's Day). RiRa's is a good choice. Keep us informed!
