Patrick! That is an amazing sequence of your afternoon! I would kill to have seen what you did - its so awesome that you have learned to be in the company of moose and capture these moments to share.

I love the pictures of the calves frolicking and the one of them sleeping in tandem with thier necks stretched out over thier bellies is adorable.

Thanks for posting these! What a great way to spend the afternoon. There are so few of us who experience first hand what you do among the moose, and your pictures are the closest we may ever get. ;)

What a great way to start today.
Your pics are positively AMAZING!
Never saw anything like them. Thanks for sharing!:)

*They should be on Nat Geo!

Wow! I saw seven moose on my recent trip to Maine/NH and one bullwinkle that ran into the road in front of my car north of Berlin but those pictures and that encounter is incredible.

I always love your moose pix.

Patrick . . . you have to feel a deep sense of satisfaction with those marvelous photos! I'd venture to say that there are a scarce number of people on the entire planet who have captured such images. Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us!

And by the way, not to be "cutesy" or disrespectful, but I love to play around with rearranging the letters within a word to come up with a different word. I find it interesting that by merely adding the letter "a" to your screen name of Forestgnome, you can come up with the words "moose engraft"!:)

Patrick, even by your standards these are amazing. I was thinking of you yesterday when my son and I bumped into one on the Zealand Trail near the beaver ponds.

Absolutely Unbelievable Shots...your best work so far with young moose!

Wondererous!

What a marvelous collection of commentary and photographs! I can see why you wouldn't be interested in exploring Greens Cliff. While I did go through some interesting habitats and terrain on my 12 mile day, most wildlife I saw was a snowshoe rabbit.

Moose pictures

These are the most wonderful pictures I've ever seen of moose. Amazing. Thank you.
