Some of you may remember 2011-2012 when I got laid off and used that time to complete the single season winter 48. Fast forward two years and I found myself in the same boat, albeit this time with a nice severance package including salary and benefits. I guess there was some benefit to working for a ginormous corporation rather than a start-up. Anyway, I used the time off to re-do the single season, finishing today on Moosilauke, and I brought Gryffin (now that he's over a year old) along. This was his second winter peak and we were accompanied by (Karen) krobi and (Roberta) BernerBabe and her Berner Heidi. Gryffin and Heidi took a little while to adjust to each other while crammed in the back seat of my sedan, but once on the trails, they romped, frolicked and basically mauled each other, including most of the way up the summit cone. The weather that was forecast for this evening came a little early and we had 30-35MPH (gusts to 45+) winds and 15 degree temps. Both the dogs did fine.
