Glad you two had such a fun day out together and made a wise decision above treeline. Very good that both of you have and are embedding the priority of taking care of yourself and your hiking partner rather than getting summit fever. Its well known that cold affects critical thinking and great that it become second nature to know when to place limits. Hope you share a lifetime of wonderful journeys!
