Glencliff Trail was well-packed with an inch or two of powder on top. Carriage Road was in similar shape until the usual deep drifts and open, icy stretches near the summit. No blowdowns or crossings issues. Carriage Road below Glencliff junction was broken out by skiers.
I wore snowshoes car-to-car.
One year later...A perfect weather-breeder day, cold (-3F in the lot at the start) but very clear and with light wind. I had first tracks but met two intrepid skiers and five happy hikers (vs One ) on the trail. These included Karine and Jeff whom we met last week on Isolation and who, after a marathon hike yesterday, followed me up Moosilauke, ostensibly to correct my spelling of her name (may still have it wrong!). Nice to see you again. And I had the pleasure of meeting Rocket21 after all these years, a real pleasure!
