Trail Conditions: The Davis Path was broken out but not consolidated yet; the trail bed had a nice layer of loose, powdery snow that covered most of the rocks and should set up a nice base for snowshoes.

Special Equipment Required: We used snowshoes the entire hike. The snow was probably not consolidated enough to make light traction effective. Usual cold weather gear necessary.

Comments: It was a gorgeous day to hike with zero wind and periodic bright sun that made it seem much warmer than you would expect with the near zero temperature. We turned around a few tenths before the summit after admiring the beautiful views and taking a break at the second big open ledge. It appeared to be broken out on to the summit. It's nice to have the snow back on the trails. Thanks for a great day K.
