It was a chilly start, but blue skies and (very) light winds made for a great day to be above treeline. We used microspikes then switched over to snowshoes. We were going to do Madison, but found ourselves running short on daylight and so headed back down Air Line.

Thank you for sharing those shots, amazing. It sounds like you picked a perfect day to be above tree line. I especially enjoyed all the pics of the rime. Slide #19 is a mind-blowing example of this phenomenon. Not to say that all the shots aren't truly inspiring. Did you use a DSLR?

Thank you, most kind. It is a "mirrorless" camera... Sony NEX-6.
