Date of Hike: October 29, 2013
Trails: Valley Way, Randolph Path, King Ravine Trail, Chemin des Dames, Gulfside Trail, and Airline Trail
Trail Conditions: Leaves down low, snow up high, up to four inches or so in blown in areas between the scrub for example. The trails were in great shape minus the bits of snow and the leaves, but there were a couple notable exceptions: Valley Way had two new blowdowns (in MY section between Scar and Gulfside), and there was some minor ice on that trail. The rocks above treeline had enough reveled tips to make the going safe and easy.
Special Equipment Used: We carried poles and they were helpful on the rocks. We also carried some traction, but never felt the need to use it.
Comments: Hiked this one with my friend and co-worker (another guide), Noah. Great day, nice weather, lots of lovely rime and snow. Very fun hike.
