Does anyone know if the Taft Lodge on Mansfield is open year round?

Taft Lodge is a great place to stay on Mansfield.

There's no caretaker there in the winter and I've never heard of one of the LT shelters being "closed" other than for renovation, but I'd say the easiest thing to do is contact the friendly folks at GMC and get info from them:

Yes, it's open year-round. The times we were up there in winter, it was always occupied by lots of folks preparing for the final frigid push for the summit.
