Mt. Percival, Mt. Morgan via Morse Trail, Percival Trail, Crawford Ridgepole Trail, Mt. Morgan Trail
Date of Hike: Sunday, March 23, 2008
Trail Conditions: Frozen granular, loose granular, ice, mud
Special Equipment Required: Can bareboot to Mt. Morgan or Mt. Percival, however traction is needed to get through a few parts of the Crawford Ridgepole Trail (I wore MSRs)
Comments:
Trailhead - Mt. Morgan Trailhead continues to be plowed.
Morse Trail - Decently packed now, brook crossings not tricky, no barespots. One minor blowdown left.
Percival Trail - Other than the flats at the beginning, I was the first person on this trail in awhile. Probably barebootable, brook crossings not tricky, no notable barespots. No blowdowns left.
Crawford Ridgepole Trail - Some parts out of the light are icy (and cannot be broken through). Branches are annoying. No blowdowns.
Mt. Morgan Trail - Many exposed wet spots (spur trails around). Well packed. No blowdowns left.
