Not tooting my own horn, but rather this is a 'horn toot' for the http://trailsnh.com website. Thanks to the "Trail Watch" feature, I was made aware of recent blowdowns on the lower end of my adopted Mt. Tremont Trail. Was able to respond in a timely manner by going out there today (13-June) and removing them. These must have occurred as a result of recent high winds since they were not there as of 3 weeks ago when I did maintenance on this trail.
Did not go all the way to the summit since the upper half of the trail was reported by a reliable hiker (on 09-June) to be free of blowdowns, other than old ones which are all easy step overs or duck unders.
