Wow, Tdawg... that's insane. You lucked out on the terrain... the bowl has a very forgiving runout.
Good experience when you're lucky to live and learn from it.

What sort of seems odd to me is that people were still going after it after witnessing repeated slides on the face. I guess all the sliding looked fun.

Ha, ha, ha. That is the same thing that the judge told a person next to me who complained about drawing two different trials during jury selection. I suppose that it was possible to draw all four, but some people did not draw any, others were rejected, and the one for which I was chosen was eventually postponed, despite my not buying any lottery tickets. So, good karma for me too.

Yes, the infamous foam hand that is getting me ripped on every ski forum imaginable. I guess having fun means "not respecting the mountains/power of nature etc." to some.

I may take it on all my hikes now for summit shots. Why not? It weighs nothing!

And at the end of the video, that's what I'm hiking up to retrieve, Leave No Trace ethics!

Nice video and pics! I get jealous when i see other people getting some good runs in. Glad things turned out alright, that was a pretty decent size avalanche. No pics of the bikini skiing gal though?
