My wife June and I had the great pleasure to participate in the annual Adaptive Sports Partners of the North Country - Sunrise Ascent up Mt. Washington helping Team Martin. Click this link for background information: http://adaptivesportspartners.org and then click this link for information on the participants on the Sunrise Ascent: http://www.sunriseascent.org.

All of the athletes were inspiring but two of them (Tyler Walker and Laurie Stephens) made a self powered ascent up the auto road in wheelchairs. Both are paralympians and already have incredible achievements behind them and now they have both added another incredible achievement, they have both become the first to make wheelchair ascents of Mt. Washington.

Here's a link to a story about the event in the Manchester Union Leader: http://www.unionleader.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20140804/NEWS12/140809695/0/NEWS07&template=printart

I was fortunate enough to take a few pictures of them yesterday and would like to share their story. Simply amazing and absolutely inspiring.

Pausing for a moment along the way.

Hi June & John

It's folks like Laurie & Tyler who force me to want to be a better person.
