Mt. Whitney ~ our first 14,000-footer!

Four friends and I just returned from a two week road trip around California. The highlights of this trip were Sequoia NP, Kings Canyon NP, Yosemite NP, Lake Tahoe and Napa Valley. The highlight of the trip (for all of us) was a backpacking trip up Mt. Whitney, our first attempt on a 14-er!

When we climbed Whitney, we "warmed up" a few days earlier by hitting Nevada's relatively nearby highpoint: Boundary Peak.
