Trails: Zealand Trail, Twinway
Distance: 12.8 miles
Elevation Gain: 2850 feet

On Saturday, we hiked to Mt. Zealand and Guyot where my brother reached his 39th peak this year. It was another beautiful late fall day in the Whites, and I was looking forward to hiking through this area.

The views from Zeacliff were definitely impressive. The view of the Willey Range in front of the Presidentials was a sight to see and the bowl on Carrigain looks so defined....

It was a little breezy on the summit of Guyot, but bearable and still enjoyable as we looked out all around the Pemi

The trails were coated with 1/2 inch or so of snow the entire way, except for a few bare spots near the bottom. There ground was solid on the way in, but there was a little bit of mud in places on the way out. Micro spikes stayed in our bags.

For my full trip report and more photos, view my blog post for this hike.
