Mts. Little Haystack & Lincoln via Falling Waters & Franconia Ridge Trails: 24-Dec-09
Trail Conditions:
The Falling Waters Trail was nicely packed for snowshoeing, and (as of the day of the hike) was firm enough for booting with light traction (but whether I used them or not, I personally would take along snowshoes, just in case)!
There were a few blowdowns of no consequence. All water crossings were ice-bridged.
On the Franconia Ridge Trail from Little Haystack to Lincoln there was a lot of bare rock, and was better suited for light traction such as microspikes, rather than snowshoes.
