Sunday march 16 th I completed the list 111ers in winter with
Oncoman. We finish together and at the same time.

Plan of the day:

start at 5:00 am from Abol bridge
very long approche of 12+ miles
member of the team: Rejean,Oncoman,Pin Pin,Gabriel and the third

After one good night of sleep in our cars we start our hike at 5:00 am. At
the begginning my legs where tired after the previous day hike but I was
fine. The approche took us 4:30 hours for 12 miles on the Perimeter road
that was plowed by the snowmobile. We where at the Marston trail head
at 9:30 and no trace of any hiker since our attemp of two weeks ago.
So Pin Pin went first and we follow him. At this time I knew that the end of
the W115 was closed. After 5 minutes we see the track of the timmus group
that has bushwack the beggining and we follow their track.

Until the pond it went well and in the steep section I was very tired and I took one energy shoot . I had to take some break and hike a bit slower. Pin Pin and Oncoman went far away in front of me. Thats unusual for me but
it don't border me.

After 30 minutes I was better and I reach Pin Pin and Oncoman at the
junction of the Brothers trail. We let of Pack and we went for the summit
of N. Brother. Above treeline we see in front of us two hikers. What a
surprise two girls taking with others on a radio.... and the others members
of their group had difficulty to believe that they meet 4 guy's...

Again Pin Pin went in front we all followed him. You could not have a better guide in front of you. Around noon we touch the summit and I was very happy....

Pin Pin, Oncoman,Timmus and her friend continued to Fort and I decided
to down. I had fun going down and the view start to be better (foggy after
3000k). I was at the trail head at 3:00 pm and I meet one ranger from BSP
that was a bit surprise to see one solo hiker over there. We discuss and he
was reassured. The return to Abol bridge was very long but I was soo happy
that it don't border me at all. At 6:00 pm I stop at Abol campground for a
few minute and went I was back on the road I see the fresh track of another
hiker. I hike the last 4 1/2 miles very fast even if my pack was more and more
heavy. At some time I see the other hiker in from of me. Maybe it was Pin Pin
but I was not sure. At the register box the hiker in front of me was there and
it was dark soo it took me 1 minute to realize that it was Pin Pin. He hike one
more mtn and 2 more miles and he past me....whow....

That the end of this year winter adventure, new adventure for next year... :) :)

together on 115) and thanks to Pin Pin for having join us saturday morning
for those two greats days.

Summiting Baxter and Hamlin on Saturday, hiking about 21+ miles then hiking even further on Sunday is an astonishing FEET  :p :D

However...what became of Pierre, Gabriel and the third

Bravo Réjean! It was a priviledge to complete together our winter quest of the 115 on N. Brother.

Merci Gab pour ton enthousiasme des plus communicatif. Tes nuités dans ton quinzee m'ont carrément renversé. Je fut honoré d'avoir pu t'accompagner jusqu'aux sommets des plus belles montagnes du Maine.

A most sincere thanks to you Alain for having joined us on this crazy 2 days venture and particularly for accompanying us on Fort. It really boosted up my moral and determination.

As for you Julie & your friend you are two amazing girls, off trail in a whiteout and still going strong for the summit of N. Brother - impressive determination. It was a rare honour to join you two on Fort. Never hiked with you before but with those gorgious smiles of yours would have followed you for another 10 miles...

Just can't wait for the next Montréal beer party.

Pierre

Quelle belle energie de Team Québec! Le cent quinze-H, méchante conquète en taberouette....!

Pierre, you want a beer night? Just call it, I'll be there with bells on. :D

Congrats! Réjean for your winter accomplishement. What's next for you?

On sunday I told Alain and Pierre that I had no other plan
for other list. Yesterday night I was thinking of doing the winter
list again from the first day of snow to the last day of snow.
