Hey,

I'm hoping to explore this place that I've heard so many good things about. I'm planning on heading up tomorrow to get a little 'shoeing done, but I cant find any useful information on the web about Nash.

Can anyone suggest a dayhike or two that I can choose from, along with directions to the trailhead from Rt 3? Do you know if maps are usually available at the trailhead?

happy new year guys,
bob

I'm assuming you are referring to Nash Stream Forest? If so the road into the trails (Nash Stream Road off Rt 110) is gated in winter, which may be by now. My map shows the gate before the trailheads to Percy Peaks and Sugarloaf. The first trailhead to Percy Peaks would be a mile or so in with the next one another mile and the one to Sugarloaf maybe 6 miles in. There looks to be trailheads in from Christine Lake but I have not been that way.

No maps at trailheads.

Hope this helps.

Percy Peaks, Pond Brook Falls & Sugarloaf

This is a full day. I did this trip this past August. Here is a link to my photo log of that day.

E-mail me if you want my trip statistics and report for that day hike. If you look at the photos of North Percy Peak, be prepared for some serious icy conditions on the open bare rock. This climb could be treacherous!
