The closest I could get, if I was heading in the right direction, was the link for (dunt, dunt, DAH...)

Bigfoot in the Ossipees

I learned only the other day, in last week's article in the Conway Sun (pp. 28-29, and it is on-line, I believe) by Steve Smith about his recent hike up Bayle Mtn., that a famous Sasquatch sighting took place on nearby Bald Mtn. in 1979, by a prospector named Peter Samuelson. This apparently is described in a chapter of Marianne O'Connor's new book Haunted Hikes of New Hampshire.

A few more posts added to that BF trip report. Interesting piles of logs/trees/sticks. any idea what that is all about?? I guess the density implies they are not a natural formation.

...After an hour or so of very arduous bush-whacking/hiking, we reached the face. Within 15 minutes of reaching the face we encountered a strange red thermos attached to the middle of a tree branch. What was unusual about this occurrence is that it was in a very difficult area to reach, well out of the way of human activity, and the thermos had very distinct puncture marks on it. One could describe them as bite marks or screwdriver punctures....

Bigfoot is the cannister bandit!!1!

"Arrived at scheduled base camp at 12:30pm. Met up with a number of expedition participants and realized that the scheduled base camp was closed for the winter."

Anyone else wish that we knew the actual length of the interval from "Arrived" to "realized"?
