You're doing the section known as the 90-miler, which is a 3-day staged race every September. In a couple of weeks a few of us are doing the "cannonball-90", otherwise known as "90 in a day". Its an annual unofficial thing. Start out at 3:00 AM, finish around 9:00PM. So I'd say you will have no trouble doing it in 7 days - but note the carries total close to 10 miles. This might affect your boat selection.

I just did the first 80 miles of the NFCT last weekend with my touring kayak. I'll write a TR and post it soon.

thx guys.....seems like I paddle like I hike.....short and slow.....I wish I got more involved in hiking and paddling 30 years ago but at least I'm into it now...

Nessmuk...Good luck on the "cannonball" be safe....

AB..I'm going to look into a cart...did u store it or strap it on the back?

Both holds were full of gear, so I carried the cart on the aft deck.

Hey Al, I think you should of put some gear in that half-kayak stuck on top of that pole with the waterfall warning... Maybe you could tow it and use it to carry stuff. :)

Oops, with that lip on it and most of it missing, I just assumed it was a kayak..
