We got a pretty late start, too. So, at 1410 and about 1/2 mile from the Greenleaf hut we turned back

Smart choice. Best choice. Nice to see some common sense for safety's sake. Just sayin' that there are too many people who don't turn back and end up calling 911. Thank you!

Thanks, my thoughts on the matter are that the mountains aren’t going anywhere and while I don’t want to injure myself I want someone else to be injured on my behalf even less.
