Is that what does it?

I had three knee surgeries before I was 27, the last leaving me with reduced range of motion and plenty of pain. I was working with an Italian guy who advocated olive oil like the father in My Big Fat Greek Wedding advocated Windex. There was no doubt in my mind that ingesting as much olive oil as possible in salads, gravies, etc., made my knee and other aching places feel better.
I think I thought I was introducing more "oil" to those areas. This explains how it works.
Thanks. I think this is one of the most important posts I've seen.

As if I didn't already love olive oil enough. Now I'm going to be putting it on my raisin bran in the morning after that article.

Thanks for the link, Jbreen.

Being a lover of Italian food this makes me VERY happy. YESSSSSS! :D

Grew up using olive oil in my family. Thanks for this post. Very interesting. Now, we just need to understand the correct dose for any specific ailment. :D

I recently read a report that, IIRC, stated that the doses required for significant effect are impractically large.

But olive oil has other benefits too.
