Osceola good. Daylight Savings bad.

It was a heck of a gorgeous day on Sunday! I went for a short hike to Osceola, "forgetting" my microspikes but otherwise having a blast. Except for trying to figure out when to wake up for the drive.

Trip report here. Enjoy!

Sweet. Wasn't that a gorgeous day?

You forgot your microspikes. We forgot our watch! We had considered a trip across to the main peak, but without the ability to watch the time, so much for that. We took a nice side trip to the nearer Greeley pond instead.

Happy late fall ...

Sure was a gorgeous day! Now, I didn't exactly *forget* my Microspikes... I just didn't have them available to take with me ;)

Greeley Pond sounds like a fine destination for the day, too. I need to get up there more often for days like that. Happy Late Fall indeed.

Nice report Ryan. Make sure to get your spikes at T-day! And your snowshoes- for our annual Twins/Galehead snow storm hike this Winter....;)

Thanks guys. I feel like kind of a party pooper sometimes, missing all the group trips announced here, but I'm still holding out for the big trips with your group, Petch. I'll make it one of these days!

Hi Ryan,

It's definitely one of the finer views in the Whites, as you've mentioned. I really like that hidden view point to the north. It looks like you had some really good visibility. The ice on the slabby trail definitely looks like it posed a challenge.

Great pictures and report!
