our group of three walked the lincoln woods trail to black pond bushwack, which was packed down and even a skier had been through. set up camp not far from the lincoln brook trail intersection. passed 20+ folks on our way to owlshead summit via the brutus bushwack. no need for extra traction or snowshoes to get to brutus, but once there traction was a must. light powder on top of crust. sleds and buttslid the way down. sleet at night made the snow heavy and led to a clumpy-microspiked walk back.
