I think we managed to taste them all..so don;t think any of the desserts weren't enjoyed!!! Chocolate....Brownies....Strawberry-rhubarb pie......Cheesecake...pumpkin pie......did I miss any?????

That round thing made of cubes of sugar-coated goodness. OMG I couldn't stop munching on it. Wow.

I woke with a bourbon hangover but it wore off just enough to still be able to do a nice 24.8-miler on the bike with Jazzbo and his son.

No joke, I think the desert thing you're talking about is called "Monkey Brains" -- I've lost all credibility so I actually have to post a link for people to believe me.

I sobered up at around 3pm on Sunday.

Pat & Audrey, Thank you so much!!!:D Glad to meet you again and spend some time chillin' n grillin' with such a terrific crowd. It was about the best buffet sampler of fine food anyone has ever enjoyed and a fun bunch to spend time with! I was glad the Woodford Reserve was well received, didn't know how a Kentucky sipping whiskey would go with people's Sunday hike plans. Its smooth taste hooked me for a few "sips" but I still enjoyed a nice Percival/Morgan loop Sunday with my sis and 71 year-old mom. Her birthday is today! And yes, I was able to keep up and crawl through the caves! Can't wait for next year's pot luck! Many thanks, you folks are first class!;)

I'll just chime in and say that Rider.Steve and I had a wonderful time as well. Much thanks to P@A--your dinner parties cannot be topped!

Another great party, Audrey and Pat! Fun group of people. Docscience enjoyed himself out by the firepit!! I enjoyed sharing some of my hiking "misdadventures" with the younger crowd!! They couldn't believe my two stories!! :D

Loved all the tasty food-I didn't even have enough room for all those great looking desserts!! Thanks again for hosting such a fun evening!

Mucho gracias! Salud y amore, amigas y amigos ... can you tell? I stuck with the Hornitos.

Wished I could've stayed later, that fire ring was a treat. Bigger? ummm, so neither the cops nor the fire department showed up this time, eh?

Had a blast, it was nice to see familiar faces, and to meet some new folks. I made the "boy" brownies, as opposed to Sabrina's "girl" brownies. No secret ingredients here. The food was awesome!

Thanks Pat and Audrey, looking forward to seeing you again, soon!

.....hmmm, what did I tell you Steve about sharing that dangerous libation with a certain someone.....jeez!!

Wait - I'm not being held responsible I hope!

Did I say "Great to meet _everyone_"? What I meant was..... net positive....

Net positive  WTF  You know I was only kidding about the shoes right ;)

Oops I posted this in the "other" planning thread, so I'll make an idiot of myself and repost it here.

I just wanted to stop in and say thanks from both Patti and myself to everyone who showed up Saturday night. Got to meet a bunch of new people too. As usual we had a blast despite the fact that I came down with a nasty head cold that morning. And sorry to Sabrina that I couldn't make it to the Osceolas on Sunday...I woke up in worse shape than Herman Munster. You would have been dragging me out of the woods!

Special thanks to Pat and Audrey for hosting our 35th anniversary party, you guys are amazing friends! And Patti and I should be around for #36 next November, as our plans to move to Arizona won't take place until my retirement in June 2010. Holy crap, am I that old already?

You'll all be invited out to visit us in Flagstaff, we'll see how many VFTT-ers we can pack into a 3 room condo. :D
