I'm doing a hike soon over the Twins from south to north, descending via the No. Twin Trail to Haystack Road. Just from the map, it looks like you could bushwhack N/NW from the summit of No. Twin up to the PAN without too much up-and-downing, but from my search of posts on this site it seems that PAN is done only from the north, on both sides. Has anyone tried it from No. Twin?
Gratias.

The first time I tried doing PATN I went this way. It turned out to be a VERY Scrubby Bushwack. I basically spent alot of time walking on top of Spruce and eventually bailed out to the East down towards the Little River because things were so dense. Looking back I would say it is very environmentally damaging going this way. I would not reccomend it. I eventually did PATN from the NE.

Take a look at the scrub on North Twin and picture yourself going through it for about a mile. PATN is a very straight forward bushwack from the Haystack road.
