Hi all,

I am thinking of doing a day-trip this weekend to explore the Percy Peaks area.

Anyone have opinions/suggestions about good trails (loops, etc.) in this area?

Thanks,

cb

North Percy has great views and is an interesting walk/scramble over ledges -- Cardigan-like with lots of blueberries. The trail from Nash Stream Road (good condition gravel road) is well signed. The loop continues on over South Percy, which has more limited views.

Its not a long hike even with including the Underhill route down, it wont take up a day. There is an excellent swimming area at Christine lake nearby. Sandy beach and the water is shallow so it warms up nicely.

Last fall I did a loop up the Percy Peaks trail to North Percy, getting on the closed but still used Western or Unhill route about 1/2 way up, and then heading over to South Percy and back down. Definitely a great loop. If you want details to finding the old route let me know.
