Hello all,

I was honored to join Tim (Bikehikeskifish), SteveR, H.A., Northshore, and Jim for Flags on the 48. Obviously the weather and visibility could have been better but we still had a great time.

Question:Does anyone have any pics or video clips from Flags on the 48 they would like to share?

I am aware that a lot of people are using social media for this but for those of us not on Facebook we would love to see some images from the day. Please reply to this post with attached images, vids, or links so that all may share in your 9-11 tribute experience.

Here is what has been posted on the Flags on the 48 site. The 2013 gallery became available just recently.

Peace and prayers to all of those still suffering from the September 11th attacks,

Thanks,
Z :D

Here's one from Mt Lincoln summit as flag team prepares to set up. Due to the weather we left before the flag was raised. Another from Mt Lafayette summit where the conditions were even worse. Visibility 0n Lafayette was not much more than 50 ft with winds gusting to 20-30 mph with drizzle, occasional burst of sleet and wind chill in mid 20's. Not a real pleasant day on the ridge. A hearty congratulations to the flag teams for both Lincoln and Lafayette15-Mt Lincoln summit in clouds as flag team prepares to set up.jpg 18-Flag flapping over cloud shrouded Mt Lafayette.jpg.

Thanks Kerry,

We were on Isolation and it was amazing to see the clouds and light precipitation raising up and over Franconia Ridge. From where we were the wind was blowing just about due west and everything was climbing up and over the mountains to the east. We caught a few glimpses of Franconia Ridge and Wildcat but that was about it.

See you on the trail,

Isolation - low enough to have some views to the south and the east. Could not see another 4K summit, however. Boott Spur was occasionally visible, but didn't have a flag.

Truth in advertising, I was not a participant, but we did happen to land on top of Mt Carrigain while the flag was flying. The flag was about the only thing you could see. It was really nice. Thanks to the people who made it happen, on all the summits.

Here's a brief video clip which (I think) is public - please let me know if you have trouble viewing it.
