Pine Mountain via Ledge Trail to Pine Mountain Trail Loop November 12, 2011. Snow showers the night before caused wet conditions with some icy spots on the lower ledges but the upper cliffs were fine.
No special equipment needed.
Decided to hike Pine before Dolly Copp/Pinkham B Road closed for the winter. Took a small detour over to Chapel (Pulpit) Rock. Very little wind and beautiful views of the Presis and Gorham from both trails. The trail winds up at the Horton Center with a hike down a road back to the car.
Trail conditions are quite favorable in the Pinkham Notch area this weekend.
