I took a ride over Pinkham B road in Gorham/Randolph NH this past weekend. Over the years, I have used it as a shortcut or to avoid events in Gorham and a lot of folks use it drive to Barnes Field when coming in from the west on RT 2. Currently it is in very rough condition. If you have a low ground clearance car, barring removal of the pavement in the paved sections and a complete regrading, I would strongly suggest taking the long way around via RT 2 and Rt 16, as the paved over boulders and rocks are getting high enough to snag many smaller passenger cars. In addition to the paved sections, the gravel section has a lot deep potholes especially on the Randolph side. The road is passable by going very slowly and steering around the worse areas, but its going to take awhile which would be better spent taking the long way around.

Has this situation changed? I doubt it in a month or so but I hope to get up there in july and thought I'd ask..

I used it as a short-cut yesterday (from motorcycle traffic!!!) and found it was fine. I cruised right along.......just like the other cars on it. Yes, it is a bit rough, but it always has been........didn't notice it to be that bad.

I retract the original statement, the road has been substantially regraded in the the last few weeks. They actualy added some gravel to the road base rather than just scraping what was there. The bumpy paved sections are still there but are passable, just drive slow.
