Date of Hike: July 24, 2013
Trail Conditions: All listed trails were easy going, albeit a bit muddy in places. There were a number of blowdowns; some over-easy, others under-easy (nothing difficult). These trails were heavily traveled (big crowds for a weekday) and the treadways are being widened. Moreover, these trails are being eroded. Crossings were easy rock hops. No bugs.
Special Equipment Used: None.
Comments: Hiked this one as a co-leader for the AMC with Beth Zimmer. In our group was Steff, Karen, and Sue. Our Plan A was to hit Crawford, Resolution, and Stairs Mountain, but one participant became ill so we cut our trek short and instead opted for this hike instead -- our Plan B -- just so we wouldn't have to repeat the same route again. Great day for a hike, despite the turnaround. It started hot and muggy but got better as the day went on. The falls were great, the crowds not so much.
