I just saw on the NH news (11:00 PM) a criminal suspect (armed robbery) that avoided capture by police is considered armed (loaded gun) and dangerous. Last seen in Bristol, NH area. He was apparently seen on on embankment along route 3A. It was suggested he may have gotten into a car.

I welcome any links to info on this - can't find any online yet. WMUR had the story. I'll look for a link. (Edit: link in post below)

It may be worth keeping an eye on for those headed into the woods this weekend especially on the 93 side.

Sorry for lack of details.

While there is something to be said for this type of news, keep in mind the world is filled with murderers, rapists, thieves, swindlers, and many other unsavory types, like smelly hikers! :D

I thought before posting this for that reason. I understand this is not a "police blotter."

My ultimate decision to post came down to the fact that there may be/have been a dangerous man with a loaded gun in the woods along route 93 and thought people might want to be informed about that before heading out for the weekend.

If it doesn't interest you, my suggestion is to disregard the post.

I agree the world is full of crazies. I just like to know when they're in my back yard.

It is good info. Mt Cardigan is up that way and "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure."

Does the United States Constitution guarantee the right to arm bears???
\:D :D :D

It does this one!;)

Thanks Raven! Bristol is very close to my parents and I will be stopping in this weekend. Sometimes I pick up hitch-hikers and this is good to know about. And yes I like to know what he is armed with so specifying it is a benefit. If he gets up in the hills away from the lake he will find most houses he enters will be equally armed!;)
