Does anyone have a gps file they'd be willing to share of the bushwhack route to Isolation?

I don't have a GPS file, but I have a couple of pictures of where the bushwhack starts, if that helps. Someone carved a big 'T' on a tree right where it starts.

When I was there last Wednesday it was pretty easy to follow because of existing tracks in the snow. Of course that might not be the case anymore, not sure how much snow has fallen since then.

Check with Paradox -- he usually posts his GPS tracks to Wikiloc.

In fact, if you search Wikiloc for "Isolation" one of the first tracks that pops up is one posted by him, and it includes the birch glade bushwhack.

(There's another one, by ferrisjrf, that looks inviting and even shorter...)

Enjoy...

You can also take the camp site detour up the drainage by bearing left at the triple tip-up from the Isolation Trail, below the camp site, which takes you to the Davis path southwest of the camp site. This cuts off the corner and saves some PUD.

I hiked Isolation on Sunday and, as noted, it was easy to follow all parts. If new snow obscures the current Engine Hill bushwhack route, I'd suggest you consider the regular trail. The Rocky Branch seemed thoroughly frozen at the fourth and fifth crossings and probably is at the others. The trail has few PUDs and is easier to walk on than a bushwhack. The second bushwhack that cuts the corner to the Davis Path (as mentioned by Tim), was well worthwhile.

PS - I did not use a GPS.
