Injured hikers

Well, I'm impressed! I hope that I will still be do the knarely bushwhacks at 69!

The other two hikers, not so impressed.

I think that the article was written in a manner to clearly illustrate some of the problems that can occur on an outing. It clearly contrasts the two groups, their respective abilities and neatly sums up what went wrong and what went right.

Update on injured Dot Blanchard from Maine. The MRI showed two ligament tears, both the ACL and MCL. The doc has her in a split and on crutches for 4-6 weeks to see if they might begin to heal, before thinking about surgery. She is going stirk crazy already. Maybe I should sponsor her for VFFT - just reading random threads and post can easily consume HOURS every day! I'm having trouble limiting myself to a brief check in to see what's new.

She got her first computer just 2 years ago - so she isn't very tech savvy. . . . . but then neither am I, and I have muddled through the initial set up procedures without too much trouble.
