Resolution Shelter - water in July?

I'm looking at a short backpacking trip with some friends in July, and someone suggested staying/stopping at Resolution.

wmgonline describes the water sources there as "scanty in dry seasons"

Has anyone stayed there mid-summer? Would water be a problem?

We camped on the Giant Stairs the 1st weekend in Aug 2005

It was a very dry winter & spring that year.
& there was NO water to be found @ Resolution Shelter.

We took the Rocky Branch Tr from Jericho Rd & there were
many opportunities to get H2O before we reached Stairs Col Tr.

So plan on carrying plenty & get it when you see it
(depending what trail you take up!)

Who knows...
maybe you'll be lucky in July @ Resolution
due to this yrs snowy winter & rainy spring

I would plan ahead just in case.

I've been there overnight twice in July in recent years, although both before 2007. Once there was no water, the other time there was a filter-clogging trickle so I bit the bullet and used iodine.
