I haven't been there before but could see the mountain from a hike last fall to E Baldpate. there seems to be a campaign to purchase 700+ acres, including the summit of the mountain, from a timberland investment group.

I've never hiked Rumford Whitecap but I've driven by it a few times. Hopefully the MLT can make this happen.

I hope they are able to purchase this parcel. Only complaint on the trip was the wind shifted when I was on the summit and the paper mill smell was overwhelming. I have never seen more blackberries, I don't know if I should share that though.
