A beautiful day for our hike up to Sandwich Dome. We spotted cars and the plan was to hike up the Sandwich Mtn Trail over Noon and Jennings Peaks and then to Sandwich Dome. Our return was by the Smarts Brook Trail.
Our Group consisted of 7 summits, abster, hikehike, Victor, Jelsea & Tuscanny. The day offered mild temperatures (upper 20's) and clear skies with great visibility.
As the official AMC White Mtn Guide says the views from Jennings peak were magnificant. We had a short lunch at this beautiful location while enjoying the views.
Next was Sandwich Dome, which also offered exceptional views and some more snacks.
Smarts Brook trail has a nice grade which made for an enjoyable exit back to our cars.
At the time of our hike no traction devices were needed and we were able to bare boot the entire hike.
Some photos of our hike can be viewed at the following sites;

This was my first VFTT hike and I have many thanks to my hiking partners today for a great introduction!
Happy Hiking!
