A new 30 miles trail in southern Maine from Sebago Lake to Falmouth
http://sebagotothesea.org/index.html
They are having a grand opening, but I expect it will be something to plan for next year as a large section is closed for final construction.
The trail connects up a lot of interesting undeveloped parcels in what is an increasingly developed area. I have paddled the presumpscot river in the past and it is very undeveloped having been landlocked by the railroad on one side and large farms on the other. The water district property along Sebago Lake has been in public ownership for 100 years. It has been actively managed over the years for timber production so its not "virgin" but still is quite a spot.
The topography is relatively flat.
