Incredible. It's one thing when adults endanger themselves- at least they have some choice in the matter. It's another when there are such small children involved. Thankfully everyone was ok.

WMUR ran an eduacational piece on proper equipment reguired to hike with and other media outlets have also been emphasizing proper equipment in recenet weeks. The WMUR TV interview with fish and game also mentions paying for rescue.
