For anyone familiar with Ted Kerasote and his dog, Merle, it was a story about raising Merle from a young dog throughout his life with Ted in Wyoming.
The story was captured in the book, Merle's Door.
After Merle's passing, Ted got another dog, Pukka.
Here is a video of a ski mountaineering trip with Ted and Pukka.
Whether you're a dog lover or not, the mountain scenery and the dog's joy as he bounds down the mountain is likely to make you smile.

Awesome!!! That made my day! Thanks so much for sharing this. Watching Pukka bound through that snow with pure unbridled joy makes me think this is just what it must have been like with Merle. Pukka even looks a lot like Merle - and you can just hear him saying "HA! I dance sir, I dance!"
