Hi all,
Thinking of a backpack trip in the Catskills, Central VT, or White Mtns this weekend. All about the same drive from where I live.
Wondering what the snow situation is in each of these areas. I know the Whites got hammered, but I also know it has been 50-60F up there, the ground wasn't frozen yet, so it has to be melting like gangbusters. What about Ctrl VT or the Catskills?
Also, Catskills - anyone suggest a good two-nighter? goal is to drive there Fri afternoon, pack in 2-4 miles, setup camp, day-hike Sat to something nice (don't care if it is 4k or not, prefer remoteness over peakbagging for crossing of a list), then hike out on Sunday.
thanks!
