We went up the Jewell trail today to check out the snow on Mount Washington.
Here are some pics.
The snow line started about 3000'. This picture was taken at 3700'
Once above the tree line and the shrubs the trail was very difficult to follow. Everything was white and the fog was very thick. The fog was actually lifting a bit as we reached the Gulfside trail.
As we neared the summit the clouds began to break.
Here's the old steam engine making its way down.
Coming back down the clouds had lifted. It was easy to follow the trail down and we had views of the foliage in the valley.
