Does anyone know what the snow fall was like in NH this week, or what the snow pack is like now? I've read a few of the conditions posts, but for the most part they're from last weekend (before this weeks storm hit).

I'd like to go hiking with my dog tomorrow and am trying to figure out how far north we can go. Any ideas or information would be appreciated.

thanks!

Nope -- no slush -- it's 8 degrees at 1500 feet in Waterville Valley right now. At this elevation, we had about 3" of snow before the rain/sleet/freezing rain started on Thursday night. Most of that stayed around, thoroughly saturated, all day yesterday and has now set up to a solid, but not particularly thick, coating of bulletproof base.

The 'snow line' seems to be about 1200 feet or so -- but I would not count on consistent snow pack anywhere in the southern Whites right now.

Northern NH did not get slammed the way Southern NH did in this storm. The damage there is worse than the '98 ice storm. At 1200' in Franconia, 2-4" of snow with an ice coating on trees glittering in this morning's sun. Wet snow higher up. I don't know what travel through S. NH is like this morning. Main (notch/interstate) roads are treated up here. Side roads may have slick areas and downed trees. Don't park under those that are bowed over.

Perfect - just the information I was looking for!

Thanks for the replies everyone!

Good links, I've always wondered if there was a good source. I have resorted to to regional webcams from time to time.
