snow versus rain??

Real SNOW on Thanksgiving!? Yeehaw!!!

1. You can't ski in rain.
2. Rain makes ugly photographs unless you are really skilled (and I am not).
3. Rain doesn't brush off.
4. You can't make a rain shelter, a rain man, or rain angels.

I can't wait for more snow.

Bought my little one snowshoes for Christmas. So the more we get the merrier we will be.

Snow covers all those nasty little rocks,roots,sticks ,holes, nettles, blackflies,deerflies and other tripping ,biting, stinging things.. Snow is easier on old knees. It is possible to kayak on snow(downhill only). Snow slows development.

I dont like rain or snow or cold, I like bright sunshine period. I think alot of people learn to like snow and cold because they have to. I lived out west for 5 years and belive me Ill take a warm sunny day on a big peak anyday. Granted I grew up climbing in the Whites, Ive iceclimbed ( real cold) and camped/hiked in the winter for many years, maybe Im getting old or maybe IM just trying to enjoy life.

I also like the snow, but will hike anytime.

I don't care for cold rain though, summer is fine, but wet at 30° can make for some miserable conditions if you're not in good company.
