Well, the 1st Annual South Peak Softshoe Shootout was by all measures a great success! Glorious weather and bountiful snow made for perfect conditions for this demanding final event, the apex of a long winter of grueling training.

The field now being narrowed to a trio of elite performers, the stakes were high.
It was now or never. Do or Die. Dance like you've never danced.

There was one small hitch. One of the field judges fell suddenly ill during the final judging (possibly a bad doggie biscuit), and the Ruling Committee has decided to let a VFTT poll decide who, indeed, is the winner in this crucial dance off.

Please view the video ( make sure to have the sound on) and vote accordingly.

What video player/codec do you recommend downloading to view that .flv file? I tried downloading Adobe Flash 10, but it still doesn't appear to recognize that extension.

Wimpy Flash Video Player

This is a small ( 2.4 mb), stand-alone video player ( no installation needed)

Sorry about that, a bit new to video formats!

BREAKING - It has come to my attention that the middle contestant, has, in fact, seen "Happy Feet" MULTIPLE times.
No word yet from the judges tent on this possibly controversial development. Stay tuned.

I used Realplayer, and it worked fine. That video was amazing, some people have just too much fun! I love how the dog is getting all excited and into it, nice!

This is so NOT fair. I can't seem to open it still Tim. AND not only has Cath seen Happy Feet, she took tap dancing lessons as a child.

Cath clearly is the cream of the crop, if only because she put down her ski poles and incorporated arm movements. If I could have, however, I would have voted for the canine companion. His/her looks of bemusement and pity are worth the price of admission.

Can anyone say YouTube? :) Perhaps we could have a remix competition, dubbing other notable tap-songs to the footage? :)

Well, after what it took to see it, what a yuck! I actually (no hyper-bowl here) laughed out loud.

Now, the green-coated middler, she obviously wants it the most, and must lose points for that, tryin' too hard. But boy! she makes up for it with those hands-on-the-knees moves!

Very entertaining.

Dittos, my thoughts exactly. Got to, Got to, GOTTOGOTTOGOTTO LOVE the dog involvement !

Very good fun, green squares for you, well worth the wait (couldn't run it at work.)

Great fun, Tim. Best 2 out of 3?

Eric's dog is having a great time as well.

(Save the file, then tell your PC to open it with RealPlayer. If you don't have RealPlayer, just download it & then view that file. It's a cute video - worth the effort).

Got it. How funny!!! Thanks for the entertainment!
