Spring Time Rescue. No traction

A few details like exactly which trail they got rescued on would be nice. Both Liberty and Flume could be interesting this time of year with no traction.

Rescued from Flume Slide trail after traversing over from Liberty. They were uninjured, but needed help to finish the decent and cross the swollen streams.

Would love to know what research they did before doing their hike? I would expect they did not read the AMC WMG which recommends not doing the loop in a clockwise fashion due to Flume Slide. Apparently Slide in the name Flume Slide was not an indicator and while their are young experienced hikers, I am guessing they weren't and that they did not see any trail conditions reports on http://newenglandtrailconditions.com/nh/

I'll bite. Little to none.

Wow, coulda easily been me in, oh, about 1983. Having a driver's license and a full tank of gas is a powerful and dangerous thing at that age. We picked things like Tripyramid North slide in sneakers with suboptimal tread, Liberty/Flume (the easier way... we did have a WMG!) a bit later in the spring with heavy rain, flooded streams and plenty of cotton clothing, etc., and, well, survived. Main difference was no cell phones or other electronic stuff, so we pushed along because we had no other choice, so we never became famous.

I still have my 1980 edition of the WMG. I think I memorized every word.
