How does one use the velcro straps that come (or did with mine, anyway) with Sports?

One site says just through the heel portion and over the front of the boot. Another shows them criss-crossing (X'd) across the back of the heel. I've been trying to run them through both the toe and heel sections. Finally decided to call for help!

I run them through the holes near the heel and over the instep. Used them (Sports) for a few years in this way without a problem.

Suggestion: consider Microspikes as an alternative:

I've used both, and Microspikes, in my opinion, are superior (light-weight, easy to put on, no screws to lose, etc.)

Thanks, Dick... that site is where I got the instructions for the over-the-instep method used by Stash.

I have Microspikes but do a lot of walking on icy but relatively flat logging roads around here, and find Stabilicers more comfortable to walk in under those conditions. But you're right: in several ways, Microspikes are superior.
