Stairs Mountain, Mount Resolution and Mount Crawford 10/23/2013

Our last major hike of our fall vacation would take us to 3 mountains on the 52 WAV list. The weather had been fantastic all week. We still consider the end of October one of the most beautiful times of the year for hiking in the White Mountains.


The hike began crossing the Bemis Bridge.

Clear blue skies all day, puffy clouds and breezy on all the summits today.

We couldn't have asked for a better day. 10.8 miles with an elevation gain of 3400 feet. Naturally, we topped off the day with a delicious meal at The Red Fox.

Love this hike, actually met Buffalo and Tough Cookie on this the last time out, closing in on on their 52WAV. Agree, late October is choice in the Whites, but most of the foliage is gone… nice TR and pics!
