It's strange what you can find at thrift stores. Things you never expected.

Last weekend we watched "Schlitz on Mount Washington" that Brian had picked up on VHS. (It is now available on DVD: http://secure.skimuseum.org/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=353&osCsid=9aef46)

Written in 1935, it is the story of Dr. Schlitz (not the beer) who climbed Mt. Washington and skied down through Tucks. It's only 22 minutes in length, but good bumbling fun.

"From Gurgle and Ubergurgle to the White Mountains of New Hampshire comes Herr Doktor Wolfgang Schlitz..."

It's still shown at the Moosilauke Ravine Lodge to all the first year students on DOC trips each fall. There's a full Rocky Horror Picture Show style running commentary on the movie by the lodge crew.

Speaking of good bumbling fun, I watched "Project Grizzly" last night on DVD. It is the 1996 documentary about Troy Hurtubise, the Canadian junkyard owner, and his lifelong endeavor to make a grizzly bear proof suit that he can wear to observe the bears upclose. It is subtitled "An unsettling story of a man and his bear suit."
